Bed Stu

Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

If they don't fit perfectly out of the box. . .

Let me say that I love this boot! Very cool look! And one of them fits perfectly right out of the box. The other one felt very stiff in the toe box but I thought it may loosen up with a few wearings. It hasn't and is so uncomfortable that after 15 minutes it hurts to walk in them. I tried to exchange them for an exact match because I really do like them, but was told because I have worn them they can't be returned or exchanged, so let me help you out - if you put them on and they don't fit perfectly DO NOT TRY TO BREAK THEM IN! You will be stuck with an investment that you can't wear.

We’re so sorry to hear about the trouble with your boots and completely understand how frustrating this must be. We see that our Customer Service team is already in touch with you to provide assistance and ensure your concerns are addressed. We do recommend trying on boots on carpet to confirm the right fit before wearing them outdoors. We do not accept worn items for return or exchange because once boots have been worn, we cannot maintain the quality standards our customers expect. We truly appreciate your understanding and thank you for sharing your feedback, it helps us improve the experience for everyone.

I really like these boots,

I really like these boots, however they do slip a bit in the heel, but I would not want them any smaller in the toe box. I may have to find even thicker socks than I usually wear.

We're delighted to hear that you really like our boots. From the issue you are describing, I would recommend looking into silicon heel caps. I use them with my Judgement boots that used to slip a bit in the heel and they worked great for me. A thicker pair of socks could also be a great solution. We really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for choosing BedStu.

The toe area is very still and tight but hoping the stretch out. Very cute! Calves are wide enough and I have thick calves.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We're glad to hear the calf area is a great fit. The toe area can feel a bit stiff at first, but the leather will soften and stretch with wear. We're happy you find them so cute, and we hope they become even more comfortable as they break in!
