Bed Stu

Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

Love my new boots. I

Love my new boots. I originally ordered a 7 but had to send back for an 8. An entire size larger than my typical size. They fit perfect!

Very disappointed!

Very disappointed in the purchase of the Glaye boots. Have the exact pair I purchased many years ago and wanted new ones. Ordered exact size as before and new ones are HUGE! Not the same and now I have waited to long to exchange or return them.

We’re truly sorry to hear how disappointing this experience has been, especially since you were repurchasing a style you already know and love. We understand how frustrating it is when a trusted fit changes and timing adds extra stress. Our customer service team has reached out to you via email to provide additional assistance and review what options may still be available. While we know this does not undo the frustration, please know your feedback is important to us and has been shared internally, as consistency in fit is something we take seriously. I LOVE these boots. When

I LOVE these boots. When they first arrived they felt very tight at my ankles. I wore them for short amounts of time and kept towels stuffed into them while in the closet to stretch them a bit and now they’re perfect. Beautiful, soft leather. I normally wear an 8-8. 5 but for these I ordered a 9. 5 and with the stretch, they’re great!

We love hearing how you made them your own. The leather will naturally form and stretch with wear, and it sounds like you found the perfect way to help that process along. Thank you for sharing your sizing experience as well, that insight is so helpful for other customers. We are so glad they are now a great fit and that you are enjoying the beautiful, soft leather.

Great Look

I love the way these boots look, but they fit a little tighter than most BedStu 7. 5 shoes. These will take some breaking in before I can wear them out somewhere. Fortunately, leather stretches a bit.

Beautiful, Quality Boot

I ordered the teak rustic Glaye boot. I normally wear a 7. 5 (medium width at toes and narrow heel) and have thin calves. I have been reading reviews on this boot for nearly a year and finally pulled the trigger - and am happy I did! I ordered a whole size up to an 8. 5 and it is a perfect fit for me. The foot fits perfectly with a medium-thick sock . The calves to not fit snug, but are not so oversized that it looks like they are swimming around my legs. I have not had an opportunity to wear them out yet, but look forward to it soon!
