Glaceon Pro Jacket - Men's

I was looking for a heavier down coat for extra cold days around Tahoe and eventually landed on the Rab Glaceon Pro Down Jacket. Could not be happier about the quality of the jacket. I'm 6'2" 185lbs with long arms, and the fit is perfection! The jacket feels super warm, and also the Pertex Quantum shell helps shed away light precipitation and snow. Another killer product from Rab!

A bit about what this jacket is meant to do before I review it: this is a serious heavy weight down jacket. Its not meant to be 50 degree day/fall wear. Its not meant to fit under other layers. It is meant as an outer layer on a very cold day. For reference, a typical down jacket is between 3 and 4 oz of fill weight. A medium might be 5. 5-7. 5 oz. This is 9. 3 oz. If you're buying it for that, this is a fantastic jacket. I was standing in 10 degree (F) weather, with no sun, no movement, for at least 30 min and didn't get cold at all. It's not quite as packable as some smaller down jackets but its not meant to be. Those jackets won't keep you warm like this one. Super comfortable. Great pockets. Material feels durable (for a down jacket). Totally windproof. Not waterproof but puffers aren't meant to be. If you're looking for something as a midlayer/fall layer, this isn't your jacket. If you're looking for a furnace on-the-go for the coldest winter days, tough to beat this one. Also size down. I'm a medium in the electron pro or other down jackets but a small in this one (5'9, 170 lbs).
