Garden Delight Peasant Top

Did I covet this top for weeks on end? Yes. Did I order a size smaller as I usually do for most styles from FR? Yes. Is the color beautiful and does it look fab with a pair of dark wash slim straight jeans? Absolutely. Is it worth the price? Not even remotely so. The cotton, while a nice crisp feel, is thin. The buttons feel a bit loose and as if they will fall off after a few times of buttoning / unbuttoning. There is just no world in which this is worth the price, even on sale.

I tried this in-store during the anniversary sale. I am usually a small or a medium. The extra small was very voluminous on me! I think the peplum helped it seem more flattering from the front, but from the side, it just seemed too poofy. Beautiful color and pattern. Fabric felt crisp.

I sized down which I often do with this brand and the fit was perfect. I love the fabric and print and overall style, but the sleeves were just too voluminous for my petite frame (and way puffier than it shows in the photos).

This design is beautiful, but this top runs so big! I ordered a small and it looks like a large. I do think that even if it fit, it’s a bit overpriced. It’s going back!

The fabric and print are lovely. I like the idea of the top with the ability to cinch or wear looser, but my normal size small was way too big. Uncinched, it was like a bag, and cinched, it had way too much fabric.

This blouse is comically oversized.
