Fruit Trolley Midi Dress

I loved this but the chest just didn’t fit and I couldn’t find a path to modify it for success

I usually wear a small in most brands but not in Farm Rio. I usually have to upsize to M for the chest. I tried on both sizes in store and the body really doesn’t change too much between sizes. I had alterations come to try to fit the body a bit more but it alters the style too much. This is a flowy dress and does have some shape, it doesn’t fall off the body like a loose bag which sometimes I dislike in these styles. I think the drape back with the zipper helps keep it formed and have a nice silhouette. It also has sewing detail under the chest that lets it drape in flattering way. The seamstress pointed this out and stated bringing in the waist would alter the drape negatively. It is a true midi and the pattern is even brighter and bolder in person. Online I wouldn’t have stopped to look at this dress but it stopped me in my tracks in the store. If you have a larger chest size up one. My measurements are 37”, 27”, 37” and I’m 5’10” 145lb usually a size 4-6. This is a perfect summer dress and very light

I love this midi dress. The colors are vibrant and great for a tropical vacation or summer party. It is true to size, well made and flattering. I look forward to wearing this on an upcoming trip.
