Racer Slingback Pointed Toe Pump (Women)

I needed comfortable, dressy shoes for a Midwest, fall wedding (unpredictable weather), so I chose this sling back. I liked the look of the low, chunky heel, so I chose these. When received from my online order, the shoes were brand new from the manufacturer. However, both heels had a dent and one had a defined black mark on it. I used leather cleaner and conditioner with some elbow grease, and got the black mark off. Worn to the wedding, they were uncomfortable. The weight of the chunky heel with the sling back when walking makes the back of the foot drag. The heel pushes your foot to the front, which is narrow and pointed. My toes ached. There is no support on the front of your foot (the front of the shoe is very flat), other than the light cushion on the interior lining. After wearing for just two to three hours, I was really disappointed in this shoe design. I ordered my regular size, and the shoes fit lengthwise. For width, I ordered a medium or regular width, and they were slightly wide for my narrow foot. The slingback is adjustable, and that helped secure my foot in the shoe. The toe box was really too tight for my narrow foot, and after hour two of wear, I decided I’d never wear these shoes again. Nordstrom was gracious and allowed me to return them.
