Couture Claw Clip

My favorite hair clip made by the "Elite Modeling" company broke after 4 yrs of daily use and since I could not find them again, I was on the hunt to find something similar... A friend of mine recommended this brand and said that they were of excellent quality. When I first received the clip, I noticed that the quality was not as good as the Elite one. The “metal clip/spring part” is not covered and is clearly visible, which makes it look cheaper. But overall this clip was as close as I could get to my old one. It held my hair without pulling it, was very comfortable and looked very nice. A few weeks ago, the spring of the clip snapped/broke. I'm always very careful with my clips and don't abuse them so I was really disappointed. If you are going to pay over $40 for a hair clip, you would think it would last more than a few months! In end, I cannot justify paying so much for a hair clip when I can get cheaper drugstore brand that lasts much longer.

These clips are beautiful and hold even the thinnest of hair types. However, I have purchased five of these particular clips and with three of them, the spring has broken within a few wears. In fact, I plan to take the black one which broke today back to the store. I am sure that Nordstrom will accommodate me, but it is frustrating to pay so much for a clip and not have it preform until at least I feel that I’ve gotten my money’s worth of wear. Please, France Luxe, fix the springs! We don’t mind paying for your beautiful hair accessories as long as they don’t break so fast!
