Four Twenty Eyeshadow Palette

I've seen such mixed reviews on this palette but I love the color story so much so I decided to try it myself. The mattes are a mixed bag of quality. They are pretty sheer so you have to build them up but the greens really don't like being layered over each other so it makes building them up very difficult. I often experience patchyness, odd discoloring where the shadows are layered, and lack of saturation. The one shimmer im the palette is probably the of the worst shimmer I've ever used. It hard paned immediately. It's extremely sheer and you need to pick it up on a dense stiff shader brush. You also need some glitter glue or setting spray to get it to stick to your lid. Even then, it's not very shiny or sparkly. It's pretty awful. I would suggest you work from darkest to the lightest shades when your creating looks so you can avoid layering as much as possible. I would also suggest you have shimmers on hand from another palette or singles to build a llook. The palette is way overpriced for the quality but if you are drawn to the color story, like myself, you can get it to work.
