Flying Hawk Earrings

Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs were steeped in worship. The eagle, one of Egypts raptors, became a guardian deity for tribal clans due to its immense wingspan and sharp talons. The falcon god Horus stands as its quintessential representation. RC designers drew inspiration from the British Museums collection piece, the Egyptian “Golden Pectoral of the Soaring Eagle” dating from 600-200 BC, extracting the eagles form to incorporate this symbol of “freedom” into jewellery design. Employing hand-carving techniques, the feathers are rendered with vivid, three-dimensional detail and visual tension, reviving ancient Egyptian s into contemporary jewellery pieces imbued with mystique. Through this collection, the designer expresses the resilient and liberating feminine strength embodied by the eagle.
