Keb Insulated Jacket

One of my best purchases in 2021: Jacket is light weight but warm, figure flattering, and has buttery soft fabric; can be ‘dressed-up’ for the city or used for outdoor activities. - light weight: can be easily packed into middle sized handbag / hiking backpack (e.g. for spring/ fall when the temperatures are constantly changing) - warm: jacket is NOT a Canadian winter jacket, however, with sufficient layering (e.g., fleece sweater) you will be comfortable in temperatures up to freezing point - figure flattering: the cut is slightly waisted but not very much. For reference: I am 5’9”/185 lbs with wide shoulders and have most weight around my belly (bust=waist=hip); size XL fits perfectly & flattering (‘hello waist!’ for an apple shaped body :-p ) - buttery soft fabric: no, the jacket is NOT waterproof but rather a ‘dry weather’ jacket that is able to repel drizzle for short time. But the fabric is just sooo soft - like a hug…

I'm typically an XS or S so I ordered the Small based on other reviews that the jacket runs small. Well, I just received the jacket and I disagree. It's pretty true to size, and unfortunately a bit big on me. For reference, I'm a little over 5' 3" and 115 pounds. The sleeves are too long (by about an inch), there is excess fabric under my arms and I have some room to spare in the body of the jacket. I'm going to try an XS to see if it fits better. It's possible that the coat simply isn't designed for a petite person. We'll see...
