Ferrosi Hooded Jacket

I bought my OR Ferrosi two years ago when looking for a "shoulder season" layering piece that was went and water resistant and durable. I have been so impressed with this piece, it is easily the most versatile jacket that I own (and I have many). It is stretchy and extremely breathable but somehow incredibly tough and surprisingly windproof. I am normally a medium but I sized up to a large to accommodate layers underneath and a slightly longer length to cover down past my hips when wearing a pack belt. As a 5'11, 175 lb male it is a perfect fit — slightly oversized but not baggy and loose. Typically, I just jam this into whatever pack or vehicle I'm in and bust it out when I need that outer layer. In particular, I will pair it with a light puffer so that I am protecting the insulated layer and giving it some wind/water resistance. I do a lot of farm work outdoors and that can be hard on even well-designed, high-quality clothing...the Ferrosi literally looks brand new after 2 years of hard use. The last thing I'll say is that it is such a PITA to have to treat things like Gore-Tex, whereas I can just chuck this jacket into the wash with my other clothes and give it Iight spray of DWR coating after. Boom, ready to go. I'm a big fan of things that just work and this is definitely one of them.
