Falabella Shaggy Deer Faux Leather Foldover Tote

As part of my efforts to switch to a more eco-conscious lifestyle, I desperately wanted to replace my leather trimmed LV with a high-end, 'vegetarian friendly' bag. When it comes to eco luxury there is really only one brand to look at - Stella McCartney. So, choosing a brand...that part was an easy decision. As I always do with bigger ticket items, I researched her bags for months before purchasing. I finally settled on the Falabella, because of its versatility. First, this bag is much more gorgeous in person. If you have the opportunity to see it in store before buying, do it! It'll make your decision much easier! The 'shaggy deer' material is very soft and gives a suede-like look. I will admit, the texture initially worried me because I am used to a more durable bag (coated canvas or leather), but after a week of continual use I can tell that it isn't too fragile to carry everyday. I am not exactly careful with my bags, either - I can't be!! I don't buy items to keep them on a shelf! I was also concerned about the weight of the bag because of the abundance of metal chains. I was happy to discover that the bag isn't too heavy at all. It's actually quite comfortable to wear...even with all of my items inside. I love carrying the bag in the crook of my arm (as a tote with the shoulder chain hanging down) best. I feel that is the most casual look. It gives an edgy, yet bohemian, look to any outfit - even yoga pants! Converting it to the 'clutch' style makes it look a bit dressier. This way would be perfect for wearing out for drinks or with a cocktail dress. Last, I love the color of the chains - they are a gorgeous gunmetal shade that really add to the edginess of the bag. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my vegetarian bag. I'm already planning my next Stella McCartney purchase. **By the way, I purchased the black with gunmetal combo (just in case Nordstrom changes the listing).

Bought a purse and they are absolutely stunning until a few years in they start to fall apart and they will peel. I hen I contacted customer service they gave me the run around for two weeks and 4 different reps to tell me that sorry it is pass our warranty period. $1100 bag and lasted 5 years.
