Eye Polish Cream Eyeshadow

My recent purchase and new favorite is "Myth" which is a much cooler toned antique gold than shown in the swatches. It's really flattering, though and I've used it alone and layered it with different cream or powder products with great results. It feels soothing and looks great on the lids. I think the secret to really liking this eyeshadow is to have drier lids to begin with and to use a tiny amount. A little goes a really, really long way. I just almost tap my finger once into the pot and I've got enough for both lids. On days where I'm hoping for 8 hours of wear or it's humid out, I will finish off the application with a little finger pat over the lids with a translucent or light powder. It doesn't change the shade of the colors but sets it enough so that there's no creasing or tide marks as the day goes on.

LOVE RMS makeup! And love this color! So much, that I inadvertently bought it a second time when I still have some in my makeup drawer! Not that it's a bad thing, because I wear this color all the time - a great neutral with a little edge, and sure to get people asking about the color and the brand. I'm off to buy more (in a different color this time!) and I highly recommend the brand for its commitment to the environment, wearability, smooth and easy to apply formula, and fun color choices. So glad Nordstrom carries RMS!

I tried four of these. Lunar which is a slight golden sheer glossy sheen. Myth, which in my opinion gave the perfect light brown glossy eye. Seduce which was a bronze brown and Magnetic which was a purple / taupe. I really loved the look these gave but they didnt last longer than 45 minutes on me and I don't have an issue with any eye makeup lasting. I never need to use a primer but with one these still didn't last. For the price that's ridiculous. I have found other ways to achieve the glossy eye look so these went back asap.

I'm very happy with my Solar Eye Polish. It is a warm gold with a bit of a coppery hue. You can apply it very subtly, in a way suitable for day wear, or you can apply it heavier, suitable for going out. These are designed to be used on the bare eyelid--don't use a primer first. They do crease, but you can just pat it out. This is my second purchase of Solar--the previous one I had lasted probably five years before the oils went rancid--so the eye polishes last a long time. I've been more into using my fingers to apply makeup lately, and so this was right up my alley. I think it could be used as a highlight on someone with medium to dark skin. It was a little dark for my fair skin to use as a highlight. I'm looking forward to trying more colors.
