Generationally comfortable pants
These are my go to shorts both on and off the wall. The adjustable belt plays super nicely with a harness and is incredibly convenient.

Details & care
When the day starts at the trailhead and ends with dusty hands and tired forearms, we want shorts that move easily and hold up to the rock. The Black Diamond Ethos shorts are built for warm-weather climbing, hiking, and everyday wear, blending durable cotton comfort with a movement-focused silhouette. Made from organic cotton with a hint of stretch, the fabric feels soft yet resilient and gradually develops character over time thanks to its dye-in process. The elastic waistband and integrated belt provide a secure, adjustable fit that stays comfortable under a harness or pack. With a mid-thigh inseam and a relaxed cut through the thighs, these shorts allow unrestricted movement on high steps, heel hooks, and long approaches. From the crag to the city, the Ethos shorts are built to last and feel better with every wear.

Nice looking well made
Love the looks, it's built like a tank, extremely well made. My only downside is that they are hard to pull up. The waist is very tight, but once it falls into place its very comfortable. Just a tad tight.

Durable simple roomy
This is my third pair and these are my new go to shorts. Super durable and roomy enough to not constrict you at all while climbing. I also really like the fact that there is no zipper fly. Most shorts constrict at the fly after many washes. Not these. Such a brilliant simple design. Well done BD

Comfortable and durable
Great shorts, only drawback would be you need to get the size just right, big difference a M and L make with fit and it makes all the difference in getting them on.

Blackdiamond is really in the form of an Ethos
This diamond is the Ethos, the functionality and movement is a diamond! This is a high performance short but isnt afraid to kick it with the homies!!!! Let it rain with more colors!!
