Designed for slow cooking, braising and roasting, this doufeu is topped with a self-basting lid with a recessed center to hold ice, creating a unique cooling effect.
What it does: As steam rises during cooking, it condenses upon contact with the chilled lid. Strategically placed dimples on the underside then guide the moisture back down, continually basting the food and reducing the need for added liquid.
Additional features: An easy-to-clean porcelain enamel requires no seasoning, minimizes sticking and is dishwasher-safe. The light-colored smooth interior enamel allows easy monitoring of cooking progress.
Compatible heat sources: Gas, electric, ceramic, halogen, induction and oven; oven safe up to 500°F.
Includes: Dutch oven and lid.
