Eliza J has yet to disappoint me, so bear that in mind with my review. I’m 5’8, 130 lbs and got a size 4, which is what I always wear. I could have sized down to get the true “body-con” fit, but I wouldn’t dare. This fits like a body-con that is also body conscious and flattering.
Like another person said- the neckline isn’t too low and it isn’t short waisted.
I’m a 36 yr old mom, so I’m in an awkward clothing style season. This dress is perfect for feeling classy and feminine, but also modestly sexy if that makes sense.
The color and velvet makes it a perfect Christmas dress, but probably wouldn’t wear other times of year.

Forgiving dress, beautiful deep red color
Conservative red/ burgundy colored velour holiday dress that is quite forgiving with enough ruching around midsection. I was looking for something for a holiday dinner at a friend and just felt it was a little boring for my taste but it may work for a holiday work party.

This dress is perfect. The neckline is not too low and it is not short waisted. It fits perfectly in my usual Eliza J size. The velvet is soft and a beautiful color. A must have for Christmas.

Bought this dress for an April wedding that is expected to be outdoors. Would look great for a colder weather wedding or for a holiday party. I'm usually a size 2 or 4, purchased a 4 and it's very slightly big around the top.

Beautiful holiday dress
Loved the dress immediately. I ended up getting a size larger than normal since it is velvet and yes, my size was not available. Other material I would have ordered my regular size 12. It's velvet, so slightly heavier and warmer, perfect for the holidays. To fine tune it, I called the Nordstrom tailor to have the sleeves shortened and take about an inch out on the shoulders. This are normal modifications for me, so the dress is cut the way it is supposed to be. I am going to wear it for a holiday gala in a couple of weeks with gold accents.

Pretty and well made
Very pretty, well made and I like the fabric. Excellent value. I'm a size smaller on top than around the hip so I ordered the size to fit my bust. That worked out ok as the fabric has quite a bit of give. The top of the dress fits perfectly but the bottom is a little more body con that I like so I'm not sure I'll keep it. Another half inch on the hip and it would have been perfect.
