Eileen Relaxed Button-Up Shirt

I tried to purchase several of these shirts bc I liked the color and patterns and had to return them all. Idk who's buying them but they aren't for middle age women and older. The fabric is very thin and they look like pj tops in my opinion and the fit is very unflattering. This company didn't use to make these shirts like this bc i have one or two from several years ago. Wanted to leave a review in case this company wants some feedback

I'm between M and L, ordered the Large. I think I could have ordered the Small in regard to the girth. But that would not have fixed the length problem for me. At 5'2" this shirt was almost to the back of my knees, and the front was well below my crotch; the model must be very very tall. I know models are taller than me and take that into account, but this was comically bad. I measured, the back length is 29". Some brands post the length, and I know if it's over 27" not to bother. Also, I would have had to sew another buttonhole as the top button was way to low on me. I ordered the blue plaid, and the fabric and color is very nice.

I own several F&E button ups, and this is the one I'm wearing the most. The Eileen relaxed style is forgiving of tummy fat and pairs well with blazers, jeans jackets, etc. The rust/navy/red colors of the plaid aren't overwhelming for a petite woman, and they look good with a variety of pant colors.

This is a beautiful shirt with a super pretty plaid. The quality of the fabric and construction is akin to my husband’s nicest dress shirts. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s hideously expensive. This is not a heavy plaid shirt that you would wear hiking in the woods. It’s very soft and of a lighter weight and totally cozy. I’m not tiny and the fit is fantastic in an XS and that is still generously sized on me. It is the only brand of button-up shirt that consistently doesn’t gape or pull across my larger bust and I have retired my gap closing safety pins! I do beg to disagree with the reviewer who found this “Eileen” shirt to be unforgiving of lumps and bumps, she might have had the “Shirley” which is more oversized than this one. You have to know the best shirt style for your body with F&E. If you go to their website you can find all the shirt style descriptions under the “learn” section.
