Dukes Place Large Open Top Tote Bag

The proportions of this bag are all wrong. The base is way too wide for a tote bag. The handle drop is also too short. You cannot reach into the bag if it’s on your shoulder. It needs to be 2” or more longer. Material is nice, but too stiff for my liking. There is a strap that cinches the bag in the center, but using it makes the bag unusable. Because you can’t reach into the bag when it is cinched with the tab buttons. Not a good design. Recommend other Radley bags though, they make a lot of other good ones!

I needed a “hold everything” style work bag to hold my smaller purse, laptop, and the occasional lunch or water bottle. It’s hard to find anything big enough in genuine leather and I was glad to find this. It is a bit difficult to put the strap over my shoulder while wearing a bulky coat but isn’t a problem otherwise. I use this to go from home to work so don’t usually need to get anything out while walking. It’s pretty heavy with all the stuff I carry so I’m not sure how well it will hold up long-term but am glad to have it be leather so that repairs are possible if needed on the straps. The inside is suede so I wouldn’t put any light leather or fabrics inside for risk of color transfer. Overall very happy with it and it’s a nice looking profile.
