Charlene Ruffle Gown

I had to buy this literally last minute for a black tie wedding and I had very low expectations. However, with high heels (was a bit long on my 5’3 frame) it fit great and the color was stunning. I see some folks having issues with sizing but it did fit me pretty well. For reference Im a solid size 4, leaning to a 2. I do think it runs snug. I am a 34D which I mention because some people have issues with the bust fitting properly.

I purchased this gown for a Mardi Gras Gala, and it was an absolute showstopper! The dress fits beautifully and is incredibly comfortable. It runs true to size overall, but I did need to size up to an X-Large to accommodate my larger bust (36G), as I typically wear a Large. The only minor alterations I made were shortening the straps and the length, but after that, it was perfect. The fabric is sturdy yet has a nice stretch, making it both flattering and easy to move in. The ruffles add a gorgeous, dramatic touch, and the slit gives just the right amount of elegance and allure. I felt confident and glamorous the entire night and received so many compliments!

I purchased this dress online and am sad to say I am returning it. It was very tight across the ribs (difficult to take a full breath) while the fabric was loose and floppy where my breast are. I'm a 34C but would say I need to be at least a DD to fill the fabric properly there. The material is wonderful and feels well made but it just didn't work with my shape.

I can’t believe how frumpy I looked in the size Small. I’m usually a size small or XS. It was not flattering AT ALL. I was surprised I didn’t fill out the chest area because I have a large bust. MAYBE the size XS or XXS would work, but the dress is giving cheap vibes so I don’t know if I’m going to make the effort to keep trying different sizes of it for the wedding I’m going to. TL;DR You should definitely get a size down from what you are thinking of ordering!!
