Bed Stu

Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

Exceptional quality
Beautiful supple, substantial leather, scent is that of properly tanned leather with no chemical smell. Teak is dark brown, true to Nordstrom web site. Buckle is unique and removable. For reference I purchased XL which according to Bed Stu website is size 38, or 38 inches from end of the leather to center hole. XL I received is 2 & ¼ inches wide and actual length of 35 & ½ inches to center hole (7 total). The belt I received is slightly smaller length than expected from Bed Stu size chart and 1 & ½ inches shorter from end to middle hole when compared another XL Bed Stu belt.
