Rex Loafer

These shoes are not the quality I expect when I buy something at Nordstrom, they aren't even leather. I they are falling apart and the bottom of the soles look almost new. I got them out to polish them and noticed something different about one spot so I used my fingernail to try to get it off, but I was actually taking the finish off so I took them to the local cobbler. He checked them out and tested something on them and said they aren’t leather, they are made of some kind of fabric type material that just soaked up whatever he put on them. I wore them on Cruises, to couple of weddings, and to few funerals, and a couple of Dinner/Dances. Maybe a total of 10 times that they were worn on surfaces other than carpet in about 10 years. I am retired and being in FL we don’t get dressed up a lot. I bought these at Nordstrom’s along with a $1,500.00 suit, 2 $100.00 Dress Shirts, 2 $150.00 ties, and some other items for special occasions like Cruising, etc. I am very disappointed that Nordstrom would even carry this quality of merchandise and will be taking them to the store to show my salesman.
