Vancouver Crossbody Bag

This bag looks beautiful but with time the leather starts looking worn and scratched. The gold handle gets scratched as well. Given the price point, I expected this bag to last more.

I received a Demelier bag that I believe is counterfeit. The packaging and quality of the bag are not consistent with the authentic product I've purchased directly from the manufacturer in the past. The bag arrived in a non-descript box, and the bag itself appears to be fake. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my purchase and they better send me my money . Nordstrom should know better.

I was so happy to buy my first DeMellier handbag from Nordstrom. It was packaged in a small cardboard box stuffed in a clear wrinkled plastic bag—stamped “ready for sale”. No dust bag, no protective wrapping to keep the suede from being ruined by the clasp. I called Nordstrom customer service, reported the problem that the bag was in poor shape. They offered to send a Nordstrom dust bag, but that is not really the same thing as a dust bag from DeMelleir. The. I ordered was sold out by the time it was delivered. There were, and still are, other DeMellier bags like mine (in another leather color) still for sale. The only option I was given by Nordstrom was to return it…which I did not want to do. Sadly, the condition of the delivered bag was so sad…that the experience was completely opposite of what I thought Nordstroms was all about. I’m going to order my bags directly from the manufacturer next time. That way I know they will be packed and delivered with care. The end is that I was so excited for this bag…and now it has to be returned without the option of a replacement.
