so, so uncomfortable
Somehow despite the barrel cut they’re not at all comfortable for a curvy girl. The fit wasn’t so bad although there was serious gapping at the waist. What got me is the embroidery is so, so itchy and uncomfortable on the inside. It’s a sensory nightmare. Had to immediately take them off. Unfortunately they will be going back!

Cute But Not Barrel Cut
These are cute, but I would not describe them as barrel leg. If the embroidery spots don't bother you and you're cool with a cropped straight leg, still a very cute look. If you want the oversized look, size up.

cute but itchy
I love the style, but the material is itchy on the inside where the stars are. They are not barrel, that’s incorrect. They’re straight cut and very snug on the body. You can still make them work if you size up from your usual size.

Fun Jeans
I love the pattern on these jeans. The description reads zip fly, however they are button fly. I’m on the fence about the barrel look. But they are too cute to pass up. My first no stretch jeans in a look time.

Deep Trance jeans with Star embroidery
The listing is incorrect, these are not barrel jeans. They are Deep Trance which is a straight leg style with a 25 inch inseam.
As with typical Free People jeans, each pair will fit a little differently. If you luck out and get the right pair, they will fit correctly with a little bit of slouch. If you don’t luck out, the waist may be too tight.
The embroidery doesn’t bother me at all. They’re cute jeans if you get the right fit and you’re ok with the inseam.
