If you're looking for lightweight pants when the temperature is not extremely cold, it's a great choice. I just got them and am not sure about durability yet, but they look good, and the soft shell material feels great and stretchy. Blue color little different in the picture, but in real life, even better

i tried out 4 diff BD pants. these, the recon stretch pants, the recon LT stretch and the recon insulated. thi stretch technology in these is amaxing. and they have different materials in diff parts of the pant so you dont get steamed up if you are touring etc. i plan to use these mostly as a spring resort shell but will have them secondarliy for touring. tons of tech. i got the medium on black. the kingfisher color is not a nice blue. the web pics are not the true color. medium was good for me. fairly fitted but its good for spring skiing. the large was decent but dumpy in legs and but for my liking. if you are touring and you are torn bt sizes go for the large as you wil want the flex. i am 6'2" 195 athletic build i went w medium. only issie is they should have wrapped the instep patch more to target the ski-on-ski area. this area is partially protected but more protection is at the rear of the pant i guess for touring. i guess they didnt wantt o add extra weight but not sure why this was done.

I’ve had the dawn patrol pants for two years and I upgraded to the hybrid this year. Do it. These are the best pants

Absolutely love these pants! Great for ice climbing, skiing and any outdoor snow or rain activity. Great material, design and well made.

Overall these are great, but the pockets are a bit bulkier than I would like for a backcountry ski pant.
