'Sonja' Oiled Leather Clog

I wear Danskos all the time. They are the only shoes my retired ballerina feet can endure. And I always always wear a 37 in Danskos. However, this "Sonja" clog was neither endurable nor true to size. I could barely walk five feet in them. They were too small, my poor toes knocking against the front, my heel slipping off the back. They were VERY hard, as if made completely from some hard plastic. And somehow, they managed to grab at my freshly cut, super short toenails on my smaller toes -- ??? Back they went!! It is as if these were knock-off, fake Danskos sold by a street vendor in SoHo, not real Danskos. Very disappointed.

How frustrating..... I waited 2 weeks for delivery of these "Brown" oiled leather clogs to receive clogs that look virtually Black, not brown and the label on the box says "Brown/Black" They do not look like the color in the photo. They run a little large and wide... I fit into the size 39 although my foot is between a 8&1/2 and 9 They are also very hard and stiff, perhaps they will soften up in time. Sadly returning .

I have worn these for years and have always liked how comfortable they are for me. However, I believe dansko must have changed the way they construct these. I feel like they run more narrow now. Also, the inside used to be completely lined. Now the inside of toe area isn't lined, so it felt a bit odd when walking. Sent them back.
