Dakota Buckle Ankle Boot (Women)

I was frustrated when this boot sold out within days on the Paul green site and was elated to find it much later only when I searched on this vendor at Nordstrom! It pairs well with all my pants and denim and can go with black skirt and tights winter stable. I go half size up for my boots.

My salesperson at Canoga Park Nordstrom recommended these boots stating that they look like Jimmy Choo shoes. I passed on them but later ordered them online and I’m so glad I did. They are incredibly comfortable. All of my shoes are Paul Green’s because I know I’m wearing the most comfortable and stylish shoes I can find for me. My regular size 7 fit perfectly. Expensive but worth every penny.

Yes, the insole is comfortable and there is good toe room, but I expect PG shoes to feel special and stylish, where these do not. The leather is dull and thick and the gold buckle is mid price styling. These are for the ranch not the city. I'm hoping to find a high end leather or suede, flat/low heel, black boot that is sophisticated (without 1" tire tread soles). My dream wish also includes lace up for ankle size adjustment and a removable insole.

I rarely leave reviews but these boots are worthy of one. Obviously a high quality brand to begin with, but these seem to be extra special. Soft leather but still a structured look. They broke in almost immediately and are comfortable from day 1. The buckle detailing gives a bit of style but still an overall classic look, beyond the trends. The shape is ideal IMO - slightly almond rounded toe (so, sleek not stubby), and the shaft is neat and tidy but not fitted around the ankle. These looks great under full length or ankle pants.
