Claudia Hooded Packable Down Jacket

This jacket was everything I was looking for - lightweight down, removable hood, beautiful burgundy color, great fit, modern styling. And a terrific price to boot. It kept me nicely warm without any bulk. But it washed terribly. After the first wash, following all the directions, it came out of the dryer with much of the down clumped into balls. This makes the shape overall look shrunken (and to be clear, the jacket did not shrink) and wrinkled. I’ve washed many similar jackets many times and never seen a result like this. Deeply disappointed. Save yourself the trouble and heartache and pass on this one.

Jacket itself is a great basic, I love the minimal branding, thoughtful details and clean aesthetic. Great for travel. However I was disappointed to receive a used item. The first time it came back in stock in my size I received a clearly used item: no tags, a Febreeze smell and a Kleenex in the pocket (!!!). I returned and reordered, similarly the second one had no tags and while fortunately there are no signs of wear I suspect it may have been worn, then returned and reissued. However the jacket itself is definitely a keeper! I have their Emeline shorter down jacket from last season and wear it constantly, so was excited to snag a longer style from the same brand. I found this TTS with a little room to layer. Lightweight but cozy, with a flattering fit and nice details like the removable hood, neck flaps you can fasten and sturdy zipper pulls. In black it is sleek and put-together enough for commuting and travel as well as more general outdoor activities, and I appreciate that the external branding is subtle enough not to be noticeable.

My sister has owned a Lole Claudia jacket for years, and I always borrowed it because I loved that it was lightweight yet warm. During my time living in Dublin, Ireland, it became my go-to jacket for protection against windy days and rain. It got a lot of use! Dublin weather is mild. I never had issues washing it—I washed it inside out on delicate, then either dried it on low with an air dry break it on drying racks (which are very common in Ireland, they have no proper dryers there). The jacket runs slightly oversized in your normal size, but not excessively so. II went up a size because my sister's jacket was a Large and I liked the extra oversized fit. However, a Medium (slightly oversized) or even a Small (more fitted) would have been fine for my usual fit preference. I finally ordered my own this season, and it's perfect—a lovely, high-quality jacket that will last for years. Highly recommend!

Just got this jacket and cant wait to wear it for my trip to London and in Chicago in the winter. Its slightly large but allows for sweaters and layers underneath with comfort. Color is fantastic, its light as a feather and the hood fits perfectly not sloppy large like alot of jackets do. I love the two way zipper feature the most! A must buy for nominally cold winter days and winter travel days.
