Great shoe for men!
I bought these shoes for my husband as a birthday present. He owns the Wallabee boot in suede and they are nasty. Nasty because he's a male and didn't treat the suede when he first bought them and 4 years later they are filthy. I saw the dark leather and knew I had to get them for him. He loves them and says they fit perfectly. Not too tight because of the leather. I ordered the exact same size for him as the pair he has in suede. Great shoe for men:)

Not The Clarks I Grew Up With
I loved the color of these boots and having worn Clarks in the late 60s/early 70s I thought I would try a pair once again. Sadly, these went back to one of my local Nordstrom stores. The shoe runs very large, you can easily cut one size down, and it is wide. Also, the crepe sole just after on wear was filthy. It attracts dirt and is absolutely black within one day and is NOT cleanable.
Very disappointed in Clarks quality.

Wallabee Boots
I ordered these boots for my husband for Christmas, he loves them. Nordtrom was the only place I could find them in a size 14. Thanks!

More than meets the eye
For years I had always found Wallabees to be the ugly and bulky brother of the Clarks desert boot. I may have held true to this notion had I never tried a pair on out of curiosity.
The boot was not bulky or unattractive, it hugged the foot quite well and could easily fit into any outfit. Wear it regularly and it will break in beautifully and feel almost like a second skin. Recently a friend of mine wore a pair everyday while backpacking in Europe. When he returned they were in excellent shape and looking like a part of him.
I listed the Wallabee as fitting "true to size and width" and this is the case, but only after I sized down one half size. These boots do run big so it's important, if you are buying online, to size down. That is why I give four stars instead of five.
Once sized down the fit was honestly perfect, and the leather felt as if it had been broken in for months. It surprised me how truly soft the crepe sole was. The extra centimeter of sole is very noticeable when compared to other Clarks boots.
The Wallabee is a great alternative to the desert boot or any conventional boot if you are looking for something that is a bit more unique stylistically. It also offers an unexpected amount of comfort due to the combination of a thick crepe outsole and soft leather. Most importantly it has lasting power.
You will get your money's worth out of the Wallabee!

great shoe
I have owned Clark desert boots in the past, never the Wallabee. I was pleasantly surprised, these shoes are super comfortable and fit well. They run about 1/2 size big, so buy a 1/2 size smaller than you normally buy
