Clarks^® Desert Chukka Boot (Women)

I have "many" pairs of Clark's shoes and I always wear a 6.5. My width is medium, but I but my heel is on the narrow side. (I'm certainly not wider than a medium.) I ordered this boot in the leather. The first pair I received was so small I couldn't even get my foot completely in them. I returned them to the store and the salesperson even tired them on because she wears a 6.5, as well. She couldn't get them on either. She said they "had" to be marked with the wrong size because, like me, she has many pairs of Clark's shoes and always wears a 6.5. She suggested ordering another pair, so she ordered them from the store. When I received the second pair, I could barely get my feet into them but couldn't take a step. I happened to be wearing another pair of Clark's originals (black leather desert boot) that day. They are a little less casual and a little narrower but same sole and 6.5. So, I began to examine both shoes. The soles of both shoes are the same length but the leather upper on these shoes do not dome down as far on the sole as the black ones do. That's what makes the shoes too small. Wherever and however they are being made, someone is not measuring the leather uppers correctly. I'd probably need a 7.5, if I really wanted to try a third time. Unfortunately, there are no stores in my area that have the shoe for me to try on first.
