simple pants good for a petite

I’m 5ft4 125ish pounds, they run true to size but slightly small’ish (I don’t have a flat stomach so I was immediately aware of the waistband so i returned them) I’m always a size small/XS or size 4 if that helps you with sizing, though they fit everywhere I’d feel more comfortable in a size medium (I don’t want to be aware of a waistband pressing in) not sure if I will re order them in a medium but I might, they are polyester but seems like they would be easy high wear pants for work, so I might re order.
