Its PrimaLoft® Silver RISE insulation traps heat efficiently, even in damp conditions, keeping us comfortable through ever-changing mountain weather. Breathable Thermic stretch fleece side panels enhance mobility, making it easy to move freely on scrambles and technical climbs. Designed for versatility, this jacket works as a standalone layer on mild days or as an insulating midlayer in colder conditions. The Pertex® Quantum shell sheds light moisture, while the under-helmet hood construction provides extra coverage without sacrificing comfort. I never review products, but
I never review products, but this is a first as it is the best outdoor sports jacket that I have ever had. I am a runner in snowshoer out in -15 degree weather in Wisconsin. I love the hood size. Between my hat and a neck gator, the hood covers any bare spots and is not so large that it obstructs peripheral vision and it stays put over my hat. The mulberry color is stunning and I feel like I am a youthful athlete again!

I appreciate the most aspects
I appreciate the most aspects of this jacket. It is light weight and warm. The length at the hip is perfect, helping maintain warmth as is it falls below the waist. On the sides of the jacket including the sleeves there is a thin material with no insulation. This is a bit of a draw back, given the description of the jacket is "Insulated Hooded". This does reduced the warmth, and especially when wearing the hood, the non insulted material is in alignment with a persons ears, making the hood extremely less useful. Overall I do like the jacket.

I loved the look of
I loved the look of this jacket and wanted to keep it. However, down the sides of the body and along the insides of the sleeves there are wide panels which are not insulated. These panels do not have the puffer insulation on them, and are the weight of a very light sweatshirt. I felt that the jacket was very uneven in keeping me warm. The insulated sections were quite warm with a base layer underneath in 30° weather. However, those uninsulated panels on the body and the arms let a tremendous amount of cold air through. I am not sure that I would have been comfortable in warmer weather either, since at that point, the insulated sections would be too hot. I could not figure out when I could enjoy this jacket so I am unfortunately returning it.

Warm and comfortable! I think
Warm and comfortable! I think it runs a little small though. Normally I wear an extra small and I ended up purchasing a small in this jacket.

I ordered an 8 and
I ordered an 8 and am usually a 6 so I say the sizes are a little big smaller made than normal so go a size up than you usually are but the fit is lovely, the colour is stunning and the quality is amazing!! Very impressed I would just take into account the sizes are smaller made.
