The body is stainless steel — wood bonded to the outside as a sleeve, the grain running vertically around the full circumference, the natural variation of the timber visible across every face. A mirror-polish lid fits over the top with a domed knob; a swing handle pins to each side. The counter already in use — bottles open, glasses out, the bucket in place well before the first round was poured. The tongs picked up and set back, someone reaching in between each drink. The kind of evening that moves at its own pace without needing to be managed.
