Best boot for under $1000
Grant Stone is a great brand. They started back in 2015 and I've been following them for 4+yrs now. Since 4 years ago, I have acquired 18 pair of their footwear. I have the Diesel, Edward, Brass Boot, Elias, Traveler and Horsebit Loafers, and a pair of long wings. GS really can't be beat. Their boots rival some of the most expensive out there like this Brass boot is compared to the Alden Indy. IIRC, all GS footwear is 100% leather outside of the soles whereas Alden and Allen Edmonds use fiberboard and cheap rubber. GS's will easily last you a decade or more if you take care of their uppers. Their asking price is cheap compared to fashion brands. My most recent pickup, the Elias boots were only $450 and if you compare their Elias boots to the Our Legacy Camion boot you'll find that the Elias is better made, better leather, resoleable(Goodyear welted) which means these are an investment, more comfy, and to me a better all around boot. GS has their cult followings, like me, but for great reasons. Before they made it to Nordstrom, I was buying their footwear online. Their customer service is top notch. Their QC is unbeatable. They rival Crockett & Jones, Viberg, Carmina, Trickers, and more. You will understand that once you get anything from GS you'll wonder why you never knew about them. Give them a try. After all, at Nordstrom, the exchange/return policy is out of this world so you have nothing to lose. I have this exact same Brass boots but with a wedge sole. They are no longer offering my boot but they're essentially the same thing. Check them out at grantstoneshoes.com and you'll see what I'm talking about!
