Bora Beach 9-Inch Cotton Gauze Shorts

My husband is a larger man with the height of 6’5”. He prefers an elastic waistband for comfort, so these shorts immediately caught my attention. I first felt the fabric in the store, and it was incredibly soft and smooth. I also appreciated that the shorts have an elastic waistband and a drawstring, making it easy to fine-tune the fit before or after a meal. The fit was excellent, and the shorts remained true to size after washing. They are still very soft and comfortable to wear. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because the fabric changed noticeably after the first wash. The original smooth texture developed a wrinkled, crinkled appearance. I washed the shorts and cold water and hung them to dry since the label said, do not dry clean. My husband even asked, “What’s wrong with these shorts? They’re all wrinkly.” While the comfort and fit remained excellent, the appearance after washing was disappointing. If this textured look is intentional, it might be helpful to mention it in the product description so customers know what to expect after laundering. Otherwise, I hope Tommy Bahama considers improving the fabric finish because everything else about these shorts is wonderful.
