Latham Plain Toe Genuine Shearling Lined Combat Boot

I have had many pairs maybe about 15 shoes and boots from this brand. The dress shoes are fine because I do not wear them often. The boots however, I would wear daily. I love the Copeland. Had maybe 7 pairs but they all worn out very quickly. Currently have 2 pairs of the brown, 1 black and the gray suede version. I hate that the leather cracks and rip very easily from daily wear. I also have the connelly wingtip boots. very comfortable. Love the soles but its not meant to actually be used in snow or puddles which is a bummer. I wore the XC flex during a recent snow storm. The grip was great for the snow, however it really not meant for that kind of weather which makes no sense because then the soles are just for show. It also tore very quickly from everyday wear and tear. After so many version from this brand, I am ready for a change. I will be visiting a Thursday Boots store this weekend. Will look into the stormking. Hopefully their leather do not rip so easily and I can switch brands.

Very comfortable shoe. The sherling is amazing in cold weather. The boot looks great and there is nothing to hint that my feet are as comfortable as they are. The boot is waterproof as well, a reall nice touch.

I love these boots--they are comfortable and stylish. I A family friend of mine grew up in Siberia and when she saw these boots she told me "wow, those are real boots. They look like something from Russia." I took that as a compliment because people from that area really have to dress well to handle the harsh elements.

The insulation for these boots is mainly at the ankles and up. Not much insulation in the foot of the boot. Soles hold moisture so if your feet sweat at all you'll need to leave them out a while to dry. Overall a very comfortable boot

Surprisingly comfortable and stable footbed. Fit is firm but not tight. I am size 11M. Appearance is also very nice. Shearling lining very comfortable without being overly plush. The test will come with prolonged wear and walking, but so far I'm very impressed.
