My search is finally over!
After 2 months of trying on multiple pairs of luxury chelsea rain boots, these BOGS are surprisingly the BEST in every way. I wanted to try something different from my usual tall rain boots & opted for shorter options (as they’re supposed to be easier to put on/off & just as effective in the rain).
I tried on 6 different styles & 2-3 different sizes of Hunters and every single one of them were either uncomfortable in my ankle area, hard to slip on or just not flexible enough. All styles were stunning in design but the all around fit was terrible & inconsistent across the differing chelsea designs.
I was about to give up & stumbled upon these BOGS by accident & was shocked to find they were everything I was hoping for. They’re easy to put on, doesn’t hurt my ankles, breathable, flexible & completely waterproof. Got my usual size 7 in black and it was the right size with my Nike everyday cushioned socks I was wearing at the time. Tried with my smartwool hiking socks & it fit perfectly fine as well. I so wish this came in more colors such as grey so I can get another pair!

Fell apart in less than a year
I absolutely loved these boots when I first bought them last winter! Sleek, comfortable, and waterproof—they were perfect for ski trips and muddy days in the PNW where I work. Unfortunately, they are not very durable if you plan to wear them often. My shoes split open on the sides less than a year later and now let water in through the cracks. I'm so bummed!

Furry lining sheds everywhere
These felt great on my feet (liked these a little better overall than the Hunter "Refined Chelsea" boots), but I had to choose the more expensive Hunter boots simply because the white furry lining at the ankle shed all over the legs of my black leggings and tops of my black socks making it look like I was covered in white lint. The shedding would have made me crazy, so I knew that I couldn't keep them. Such a shame.

Comfy winter boot
I knew Bogs made warm, good quality winter boots so I decided to order these. I wanted them in black but they weren’t available, so I ordered the green and the color is just fine. They’re easy to slip on, they fit well, and they have a good tread on the bottom for snowy surfaces. I was wearing them today!

Disappointing Durability
While the boots are comfortable and cute they are lacking in durability. In less than a year of owning them with light to moderate use the rubber has cracked along lower seaming leaving holes that render them useless.

Amanda Chelsea II Women's Slip On Rain Boots
I use these in all kinds of wet weather situations - from lobbying on Capitol Hill in DC to daily hikes on dirt trails. They are light weight. I remove the liner and use instead a heal pad to get more toe room. Good footwear for wet conditions.
