Details & care

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:These bibs check every box for long storm days or deeper backcountry missions. Theyre super comfortable thanks to the stretch fabric and articulated knees, and I love the huge thigh vents for dumping heat on the climb. The pocket layout is smart, and the suspender design stays in place without digging in under a pack. When we're chasing powder turns through storm cycles or linking up technical routes in deep snow, we want weatherproof protection that doesnt restrict movement. Thats exactly what the Black Diamond Recon Stretch Bibs are built for. Fully taped, waterproof, and constructed with four-way stretch, these bibs let us move with confidence while staying dry in heavy snow or wild wind. With updated patterning and articulated knees, the Recon Stretch Bibs are designed for mobility during skintracks, sidecountry bootpacks, and big mountain descents. Full-length side zips offer easy ventilation, while the suspender system stays put and feels great under packs. Oversized pockets keep our transceivers, snacks, and electronics within reach, and the reinforced insteps stand up to sharp edges and crampon scrapes. These bibs are built for those who earn every turn, no matter the forecast.

Absolutely love the quality and function of this bib!

I've owned 4 ski pants/bibs, and these are by far my favorite pair. The pockets are plenty and ready to zip and unzip. Getting in and out of the bib is also easy. Going pee is easy. Ok, about the color, I thought it was a little bright for my taste, but in the sea of other skiers, my sons and buddies can easily find me with this unique shade of green plus orange Bern helmet!

Best Pair of Bibs I've Ever Owned

These are hands down the best pair of shell bibs I've ever worn. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the material, construction, and seams. I recently worn them on a weekend ski tour of Killington, I was extremely pleased with the comfort, durability and wind protection these bibs offer. They are just as effective and comfortable (not to mention stylish) on long tours in the back country as they are on cold windy days in bounds at your favorite ski area.

Added these to my kit this season. Have never been a bibs fan, but these are changing my mind. I wanted something for those wet (liquid, not snow) days when I still need to be out. These live up to the test. Have had many days of rain instead of snow, whether on a chairlift, kneeling, skiing or working all day in precipitation these keep me dry! These are snug in the mid section and chest, but the stretch in the fabric keeps them comfortable and plenty of flex for any type of movement. With the snugger fit in the torso it keeps the heat in on colder days.
