Bend Low Top Sneaker (Women)

Love the idea of Birkenstock sneakers, but these were a no-go for me. They fit fine and have the support you'd expect from the brand, but they were so heavy and clunky, I felt like I had two paddles on my feet. (Note that I wear a 38 in the Gizeh and Arizona, but had to get the 39 in these to have enough room at the toes.) Like the sandal styles, these Birks have zero flex in the sole. Unlike the sandal styles, your foot has nowhere to go when you take a step. Since your foot does actually flex when you walk, the extreme stiffness of this sole just doesn't work for a normal stride. I also found them incredibly hot, much hotter than my Ecco leather sneakers. Overall a great idea, but they need to make some serious tweaks to make these wearable.

Heavy soled tie shoe with comfortable food bed that has toe ridge but not flexible. Ties allow you to adjust the size to your foot size. I got the silver which are cute enough to wear with short jeans or a longer skirt. They aren't quite as comfortable as I had hoped but definitely provide support.
