Empirical Trench Coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such an elegant trench with nice detailing - great length and thick material

Must have as a capsule piece. The style and length of this trench is classic and chic. When it arrived I found the length slightly on the longer side but I still like it as a light coat for the changing weather. Very nice trench!

Comes folded in a tiny flat package and thus very wrinkled and creased. When I steamed it into shape to try it on, the tags came loose, so I can't return it. The buttons are not reinforced, so a hole will quickly form where they are sewn. The pocket edges are just tacked onto the fabric, which will cause another weak point. There is no lining at all. The fabric feels like a weird lint-attracting denim, and it is the color of raw milk, not white at all. I may wear it to the grocery store a few times.

The coat looks just like the picture but a bit wrinkled. The material is more of heavy cotton. I was expecting a different material for a trench coat but the style and the fit is pretty good so I will keep it.
