Slide Sandal (Women)

I bought the cognac colored ones. They are so cute and they look so expensive, even though the leather is not very soft. I took my usual size and it just fits, so you might go up half a size if you want more room. The leather does cut into the top of my feet a little, but I’ve been wearing them around the house and they are softening up and I can tell they will even more as I wear them. The cushioning helps so much too, because flat sandals usually kill my feet.

The first, and only, time I wore these, they slipped out from under me as I stepped on to my stairs and I had a really bad fall, bumping all the way down the stairs on my ribs, hips and shoulders. In the 34 years I’ve lived here, I have never once slipped like this before. I don’t know when they started using plastic for outsoles, but it’s completely unsuitable, they are slick as glass on the bottoms and should be banned for safety and the environment. Only natural latex rubber should be used, this material generates enough friction to prevent slippage and has been the quality standard for over a century. I’ve never had a decent pair of shoes from this brand, they cut too many corners on basic quality.

The leather is cut sharp, I have avg feet, not wide not narrow, more on the narrow if I had to pick. You can feel the edges cutting into skin, just feel with my finger and I knew what they would do to my feet. They are SO cute and adorable I wanted to wear them, but not with the result that is inevitable You can see it in the pictures too, i bought the champagne color fyi and just so pretty
