Highclere Hooded Waxed Jacket

While Barbour has long been known for heritage craftsmanship, this jacket unfortunately falls short of expectations at its premium price point. The coat is excessively heavy, to the extent that it can cause discomfort and even back pain during extended wear, making it impractical for everyday use. The oily fabric, while intended to be durable, attracts lint aggressively and leaves noticeable residue on leather car seats—an issue not commonly found in earlier Barbour designs. Additionally, the zipper produces constant clanking noises when walking, detracting from the overall wearing experience. Although the design shows promise, the execution reflects a noticeable decline in quality compared to the brand’s earlier offerings.
