Medium Le City Leather Satchel

Usually don't write reviews but I own several Balenciaga City bags and was disappointed by the color. I like that this is so light, compared to older versions, but the color in the Nordstrom site is completely different from the actual bag. Yes, colors do depend on people's monitors, but this goes way beyond color problems with monitors. The color and bag on the site look completely different from the actual bag. The color on the site looks like a dark gunmetal gray. The actual color is a dull, flat, light gray - and looks like elephant skin. It's a very ugly shade of gray and it's going back. Another reviewer said something similar and they're right!

I purchased the Dark Burgundy color as a treat for Mother's Day. This size is a workhorse! I can easily cram my 13in. macbook air, full sized wallet, makeup pouch and more in here. The front pocket is large enough for my iphone to lay down in and the adjustable crossbody strap is a bonus. I am slightly concerned about the inevitable corner wear, but that is bound to happen on ANY bag with daily use. This is my 4th city bag and even the older, thicker leather versions will have wear.

Lightweight, useful bag with a gorgeous drape. The espresso color with dark hardware is beautiful. Disappointed that Balenciaga doesn't include the original signature mirror in this re-edition of the City-- they are penny-pinching at the expense of the customer while charging thousands for the bag (otherwise would be 5 stars).

Gorgeous burgundy color, good size satchel. I have the small size as well in black , this is very functional and can carry a lot. The leather on these bags are a workhorse. The first one that I bought was in early 2000 and it still looks great, after hundreds of uses. No rips, tears or wear. The look is casual and funky, I just love that you can wear it with jeans, athletic gear or a business suit. Life favorite. You can’t go wrong…
