Arco Knee High Boot (Women)

I purchased a 39 elsewhere but it was too narrow across the knuckle joints where the toes meet the foot. So, I purchased the 39.5 at Nordstrom in the hopes it would fit better but it was also just as narrow. My feet are not wide so I am not sure why both sizes fit so tight across that area. I found the length was appropriate for both sizes. I noticed this store and others listed the material as leather or eel but the correct material is from hagfish which is an eel-shaped jawless fish. Otherwise, these are lovely boots if you can fit into them.
