Anabelle Floral Halter Neck Satin Midi Dress

I love the way this dress looked online and couldn’t wait to order it. For reference, I am about 5 3”, 145 lbs. My waist is 27 inches and hips 38. I am typically a size 6 in dresses, sometimes between a 6 and 8 depending on the style. The Medium was a perfect fit. The material is very lightweight. I wasn’t expecting a super high quality dress based on the price, but the quality for sure reflects the price tag. It is sheer. I chose to return this dress because it was fairly see through and I was worried I wouldn’t find a coordinating slip to wear underneath that wouldn’t show through. It gave off silk nightgown vibes to me. The fit was flattering and the seam at the waist gives the dress a little shape. I have a large bust and the chest area fit fine. I also didn’t have a tan and the dress washed me out - definitely need a tan with this. It’s overall a pretty dress but it didn’t work for me. It unfortunately looked much better on the model than on me.

This dress is just stunning on...the colors, the material and the way it drapes is a chef's kiss. Pictures absolutely don't do it justice. The only thing I would say is, like most bias cut dresses, I recommend sizing up if you are a curvy girl. I am a size 6-8 with more hips and athletic glutes and quads and a 34 DD, and the medium *just* fit (granted, I've got some major PMS bloat happening right now.) The top is perfect and even had some extra room for any larger busted gals, but the hip area is a little snug so the back zipper doesn't quite lay right. I'm worried from reviews that the large will be too big, but I've ordered it and I'll update when it arrives. Don't get me wrong, the medium still looked gorgeous on, but I may want a little more wiggle room for those days when I'm feeling bloated. Overall, though, even with the sizing not being quite right for my body type, this dress is a keeper!

Bought this dress on a whim the day before an event and was happily surprised that it was shipped to my local Nordstrom store the next day. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it is beautiful and fits perfectly. Received many compliments wearing it. I am new to the petal and pup brand, but I will definitely be buying this brand again. The only negative, and it is a slight negative, is that the bottom is very sheer. I wore spanx to cover any underwear lines.
