Alpine 83 Recraft Waterproof Sneaker (Women)

I really like these shoes and was planning on taking them on a fall trip hiking in Iceland, but upon testing them out like I test out all waterproof gear before taking it on a trip…these immediately got wet and soaked through. I would not have purchased these if they weren’t waterproof. This is disappointing from a trusted brand like Merrell and I will be returning these as defective.

I bought a pair of these and did not realize that they had changed the tongue of the shoe. As others have said, they are incredibly difficult to get on and do not feel comfortable as the old model. I have several pairs of the original model and love them. I get compliments every time I wear them. The multi color shoes are very popular and look great with shorts and T-shirts. Please produce more colors and fix the tongue back to original design.

I love the way this shoe looks. I love the way it's incredibly comfortable to wear. I even love the look of the shoelaces! But I really, really hate the way I have to struggle to get my feet into the shoes due to their lack of a proper tongue. It's hard for me to believe that someone approved this horribly uncomfortable design flaw. Did they not try the shoes on themselves before giving their okay?

Wow! Once you get them on your feet, you won't want to take them off. Everyone comments on the style and ask if they are "comfortable." I just flash my blissful smile and nod. They are not the easiest shoe to get on, but like a good set of hand gloves, once they are on, they're just the best.
