Alpine 83 Recraft Waterproof Sneaker (Women)

I really like these shoes and was planning on taking them on a fall trip hiking in Iceland, but upon testing them out like I test out all waterproof gear before taking it on a trip…these immediately got wet and soaked through. I would not have purchased these if they weren’t waterproof. This is disappointing from a trusted brand like Merrell and I will be returning these as defective.

Have a previous model that actually ties and has a real tongue. I love the shoe and wanted to purchase again.. You tout this shoe as having an improved design, I guess for people who cannot tie their shoes. The reviews indicate others are also disappointed with the design.Sometimes you should not mess with a good thing. New is not always better.
