Designed for extended use in severe alpine conditions, this ultra-tough jacket is waterproof, windproof, breathable, lightweight and abrasion-resistant. It is updated with GORE-TEX Pro ePE fabric technology so the shell is lighter and thinner but just as strong and durable as the materials the brand has used before. A helmet-compatible StormHood™, pit zips and articulated construction allow for customizable coverage and comfort, while WaterTight™ zippers and minimized seams shed grams.

The jacket is so loud you couldn't possibly enjoy any type of activity. I returned my Alpha SV for that reason.

Size down
Size down. I wear a large in just about everything that Arc produces. L in this is WAY too big for me, even with many additional layers underneath. Medium worked much better, even with Cerium and additional layers underneath. I'm 6' and 175 lbs,, as a reference. Great, exceptional jacket in all other ways.

Great garnet!
The best jacket I have ever had! Top quality when it comes to breathability. durability, insulation, mobility and waterproofing. I use it all year around, for hiking, canoeing, climbing, skating and skiing. Here in Sweden the winters can be pretty tough, With this jacket, however, I always feel safe and comfortable.

Best universal mountain partner out there
Best fitting jacket on the market. Big hood, comfortably accomodating your helmet, slightely bigger fit making this jacket perfect from alpine climbing all the way to skiing allowing you to fit all your winter layers underneath while not being too baggy. No unnecessry pockets or features. This jacket is made to make you comfortable in any environment, all year long. Rugged gore tex pro doesn’t seem to care about rocks or anything. Love the jacket so far. As a mountain proffesional, I can see Arcteryx thought about all the details, that actually matter.
