Worth the splurge!
I bought this jacket in several different sizes online due to the reviews stating that it runs small. For reference I am 5'5, 119 lbs. I purchased the jacket in a US size 2, 4, and 6. With the other reviewers that had the same weight/height as me, I was fully anticipating on the size 6 being the size I'd keep, as usually I'm a true size 2-4, and 25, 26 in jeans, size small in all clothing. Size 6 did fit fine, but It was a tad boxy on my frame. I prefer a closer-to-the-body fit for a jacket like this so size 4 was perfect for me and is the size i ended up keeping, to my surprise. The one minor thing versus the size 4 and 6, is that the size 4 is ever-so-slightly tight on the inner side of my elbows when I bend my arms, but it's not uncomfortable. I have tried the jacket on several times today and I can already tell that that area is starting to be less restrictive with wear. I have heard from reviews and YouTube videos that the jacket does loosen a half size up with continuous wear too. The quality of the jacket is superb: leather is soft, has a nice weight to it, does not look cheap or synthetic, and is a timeless classic that I feel will never go out of style. I am so glad I splurged on this gorgeous leather piece! I highly recommend this jacket!

not good is you fall
I fell and the jacket tore apart. I don’t need stitches, but a bit disappointed because at this price point I would expect something a bit more durable. Minor bruises and wounds from a minor fall on concrete.

Crazy in Love!
Just received my Balfern yesterday from the mail (waited for 3yrs b4 pulling the trigger, lol ...) and I'd say t'was love at first sight! Leather is sooooo buttery soft, light weight and no unusual smell unlike other leather jackets that I have ordered before. For reference I'm 51yrs old, 5'4" and 148lbs ... ordered both size 6 and 8 since the recommendation says runs small, order size up ... it is indeed true. I have a size 6 of this Balfern in Rose Pink but for this jacket (black) I have to go for the size 8 (as pictured on me). I have several moto leather jackets .. Balenciaga, Topshop, Truth and Pride, Wilsons and other styles of All Saints leather jackets but I can foresee that this black Balfern would be my all time favorite amongst them, lol ... so glad I did pull the trigger on this one!

Must Have Moto Jacket - Closet Staple
I’m a sucker for a good Moto jacket, and this one is the best of the best! I bought this in another color during last year’s N Sale, and I’ve gotten a ton of wear out of it. I love keeping it casual with jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers or wearing it with a nice tank and heels for a night out. It also looks great with skirts to give a flirty and feminine look a little edge/street cred. This jacket does run on the small side so I’d definitely recommend sizing up if you want to layer anything thicker underneath. For reference, I am 5’2, 102, size xs or xxs in tops and I went with a 00. For some reason this years version feels tighter than last years. Or it could be that mine from last year stretched a bit. Either way this years is definitely a bit tight in my shoulders and very fitted in my arms, but I’m going to stick with the 00 since I like the fitted look and can still (tho less comfortably) layer sweaters under. Hoping it will stretch a bit over time. The leather quality is sooo good on this jacket. It’s a soft and buttery, luxurious leather that looks and feels high quality. You are splurging, but it’s well worth the price. Think cost per wear! The jacket is heavy and significant and will last many years to come. It’s a classic closet staple. I’m going to challenge myself and see how many outfits I can make pairing it with items already in my closet. I’m guessing at least 20 - no sweat! The hardest part about buying this jacket is deciding which color. I got all three to try, and I think I’ve decided to keep both the black and the sage green. Hope my husband isn’t reading this! Ha!

Runs small, go 2 to 4 sizes up
I ordered two sizes since I wasn't sure based on the reviews and knew it ran small. I'm a 32B, 25 waist, 34 hip and ordered the US size 2 and 4. I ended up keeping the 4. The size 2 had a tailored fit zipped up and would work if I lived in LA but I'm in Seattle and we gotta layer up here! The size 4 allowed me to layer a light sweater underneath. I'm petite so I was worried about the arm length being too long in the size 4 but it's not. I think the size 4 fits true to an XS jacket fit. The sales rep did tell me these leather jackets will stretch a bit with use, so do keep that in mind.

small with cheap lining
I desperately want this jacket to work for me, because it’s the coolest most alternative biker jacket I have seen. However, the size range is very very sad. I range from a size 6 to a size 8 , sometimes a 10 depending. By no means am I in the larger or midsize section. I ordered the size 10, and while it technically did fit, I really needed a 12. I am fine going 2-3 sizes up, but the issue is that allsaints do not make this size! Instantly I asked myself these questions: why wouldn’t the largest size fit me? Why does the jacket say made in India? Why did I spend this much on something when it has polyester lining? Despite the low and negative review, I am going to try and see if the jacket can be let out. My advice, if you have a straight body frame, not hourglass or curvy, this jacket might work for you. However, if you have a hourglass shape like myself, or wear a size 8 or larger, you need to pass on this jacket. You will be disappointed in the size range. also be warned that this jacket says “made in India” and the lining is polyester and cheap.
