Foremost, Nordstrom customer service were great in getting these to me quickly after initial order went lost in transit. I never owned a pair of Allen Edmonds, so was excited to receive them. As for the boots, I have worn them about 4 times in two weeks, so still in the break-in period. The poor craftsmanship and quality control is apparent now. There is a gap between the tongue and vamp on the left boot big enough to slide a pencil through, which makes stepping in puddles a treacherous affair. Some stitching has already come undone. Given I already wore them a few times outside and had rubber heel and toe taps, I doubt an exchange is in the cards. Maybe I can take it to a good cobbler to fix what the factory messed up. But I don't see myself spending this kind of money on an Allen Edmonds product again.
