A factory second would have had less defects
I am genuinely surprised how bad the quality was - both had defects on the sides, in the back and one of the heels was cut so poorly you could see it from far away. I have never bought factory seconds but i suspect those would have had much less visible defects. even boots priced 10% of what these boots cost would have been less defective. Just shocking that something like this could actually go through QC and be shipped to a customer.

Great Fit & Majestic Aesthetic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing this pair in the sunny weather of California, and I must say that despite being a boot it is noticeably comfortable. The broguing makes the boots breathable, and my feet do not sweat abnormally.
The fit is consistent, which has been my experience with Allen Edmonds most of the time. My size is 9EEE, and the sizing of this pair is consistent with other pairs in the same size. The construction and overall quality are excellent.
The color of the boots is chili, and its combination with dark-wash denim is majestic.
Overall, I highly recommend these boots.

I had the non weather proof Hamilton boots and these are quite an upgrade. It’s hard to believe that they are weather proof, as they look so beautiful. I happen to be a huge fan of AE boots, I own six pairs of AE boots and they are among the most comfortable dress shoes/boots, ever! I love these new Hamiltons!
